AP BEST PRACTICES CONFERENCE: MICHIGAN and OHIO
Designed for AP and Pre-AP teachers to learn and grow through the sharing of BEST Practices used throughout AP Classrooms. Our presenters are practicing AP Teachers, College Board AP Exam Readers, AP Coordinators, College Board APSI Consultants and Representatives from The College Board. If content is what you teach, culture is how you teach it! Our aim is to share BEST Practices which can immediately be applied in the classroom to help create an Intentional Culture of Success. This conference provides a relationship building experience for AP Educators to meet and share information around the BEST teaching methods for content delivery. This focus on Intentional Culture creates the BEST AP Classrooms.
Teachers administer an agreed upon Released AP Exam as a means of Meaningful Practice for their AP students. AP Teachers bring these exams to the AP Mock Exam Reading and have them assessed under the direction of a trained College Board AP Exam Reader, Table Leader or Question Leader. AP Teachers frequently refer to the Mock Exam Reading as the BEST Professional Development they ever receive! As AP Assessments/Questions change from year to year, the Mock Exam Reading is an opportunity for any AP Teacher to have the most up to date assessment information, have their student essays assessed by an impartial third party, identify student misconceptions, and ask questions to College Board AP Readers to increase their student performance. We enhance AP Success by providing opportunities for students and teachers to have Meaningful Practice.
WEST MICHIGAN APSI and CENTRAL OHIO APSI
This AP Summer Institute has been endorsed by the College Board. The APSI is a Four-Day workshop for AP and Pre-AP teachers to receive certification for being trained in a specific AP Course. AP Trained Teachers provide the BEST learning environment for students. We invite you to join us and learn from the BEST College Board Consultants in the country every summer!
